Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Minety RFC Youth Rugby. By registering your child as a member of the club, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which are designed to ensure a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable rugby environment for all.

1. Membership

  • Membership is open to all children in the appropriate age groups (U6–U18).

  • Registration and payment of membership fees (where applicable) are required before participation in matches and festivals.

  • All players must also be registered with the RFU (via the RFU Game Management System) before taking part in matches and festivals. Parents/guardians are responsible for completing this registration.

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for keeping their contact and medical details up to date via Spond.

2. Player Welfare & Safeguarding

  • The club follows the RFU’s Safeguarding Policy to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all players.

  • Any safeguarding concerns should be reported to the Club Safeguarding Officer (CSO) immediately.

  • All coaches and volunteers working directly with children are DBS checked and expected to complete appropriate safeguarding training.

3. Code of Conduct

Players

  • Respect coaches, referees, teammates, and opposition at all times.

  • Play within the rules and in the spirit of rugby.

  • Wear the correct kit and protective equipment.

Parents & Guardians

  • Encourage players positively; never use negative language towards children, referees, or opposition.

  • Support the coaches and respect their decisions.

  • Ensure your child attends training and matches on time and advise coaches of availability via Spond.

Coaches & Volunteers

  • Provide a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.

  • Act as role models, promoting respect and enjoyment of the game.

  • Follow the RFU coaching guidelines and safeguarding standards.

4. Photography & Media

  • Photos and videos may be taken by the club for promotional purposes in line with the RFU’s safeguarding guidelines.

  • Consent will be requested during registration and can be withdrawn at any time by contacting the CSO.

5. Medical & Emergencies

  • Parents/guardians must declare any relevant medical conditions or allergies.

  • In the event of an injury, the club may administer first aid and, if necessary, arrange further medical treatment.

6. Club Culture, Ethos & Inclusion

7. Liability

  • The club accepts no responsibility for loss of personal property at training or matches.

  • Rugby is a contact sport; while every effort is made to ensure safety, parents/guardians accept that injuries may occur.

By registering with Minety RFC Youth Rugby, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions and will abide by the club’s Code of Conduct.
